Double Stacks is a classic-style 5×3 slot from NetEnt with 10 fixed paylines and a maximum win potential of €200,000. The game’s main draw is its Double Stacks feature: when a reel is filled with one symbol, all its icons are doubled, allowing for up to 10-symbol wins on a single line. During Free Spins, this mechanic becomes even more powerful thanks to stacked Wilds that can also double. This fruity neon machine leans into a retro fruit machine theme with glossy gems, fruits, and classic bar symbols. The slot has a strong 96.10% RTP, and its hit frequency sits at 16.2%, indicating moderate volatility. Free Spins can be triggered with 3+ Scatters, and the round can be retriggered.

Double Stacks Feature

This unique mechanic activates when an entire reel is filled with identical symbols. All icons on that reel are instantly doubled, and each one is counted as two separate symbols when calculating wins for that spin. As a result, a single payline can contain up to 10 matching symbols, dramatically increasing potential payouts. The feature applies only to the highest-paying symbols and is available both in the base game and during Free Spins, where it can combine with stacked Wilds for even greater impact.

Maximum Payouts

The slot displays predefined maximum payouts for several key symbols, including the diamond, red seven, bar, and bell. These values represent the total win a player receives if the entire reel grid is completely filled with one of these symbols. Achieving a full screen of diamonds, for example, results in the highest possible payout in the game. This mechanic works in tandem with the Double Stacks feature, which allows symbols to double and fill more positions, making such full-screen wins realistically achievable during both the base game and Free Spins.

How to Play Double Stacks

Double Stacks is played on a fixed 5x3 grid with 10 paylines. You start by selecting a coin value and bet level; the minimum stake is €0.10. Wins pay left to right across paylines. The slot uses NetEnt’s classic control panel with Spin, Autoplay, Max Bet, and adjustable coin value. Players should pay special attention to the Double Stacks feature — if a reel is filled with matching symbols, all of them double and count as two. This allows for up to 10 symbols on a line, which is the key to reaching the top payout. During Free Spins, which are triggered by 3 or more Scatters, stacked Wilds can appear and also double, massively increasing win potential. Free Spins can be retriggered, up to a maximum of 30. Wilds substitute for all regular symbols except Scatters and play a major role during bonuses. The game is available on desktop and not optimized for mobile. Its 16.2% hit frequency suggests moderate volatility. Expect bursts of stacked wins and exciting momentum when Double Stacks triggers, especially during bonus rounds.

💎 Double up the thrill - stacked wins galore in Double Stacks!

Grabbed 100 FS, no deposit, and dove straight into the neon glow of Double Stacks. First thing — the visuals pop like crazy, full-on retro with gems, bells, and those juicy red 7s. The soundtrack is pure arcade nostalgia. Loved it. Free Spins hit with 4 Scatters, and I got 15 spins. Not bad. Wilds came in hot — doubled on reel 3 and BOOM — full line of Diamonds counting double. Scored a 1000x win in one spin, and my heart legit stopped for a sec. It felt wild, intense — but not cheap. The dry spells between wins reminded me this one’s got bite. The Double Stacks feature is crazy fun — when reels double up, the whole line explodes. I had one near miss where 4 reels doubled and the last reel… dead spin. Could’ve been insane. Would I play again? Heck yes. Pure dopamine hit when stacks land. Gonna hunt for another FS bonus and try to hit that 100,000x dream.
